The New York Knicks<\/a> are looking to keep their win streak alive as they head into a pivotal matchup Wednesday night against the Minnesota Timberwolves<\/a>. New York is coming off two straight wins and looks to remain undefeated inside Madison Square Garden.<\/p>\n

The Knicks have been receiving balanced contributions on the offensive end, especially from Jalen Brunson, who is averaging 29.0 points and 5.6 assists per game. Brunson has the opportunity to make history tonight, becoming the fourth player in Knicks history with 80 career 30-point games if he reaches that mark against Minnesota.<\/p>\n

Patrick Ewing currently holds first place with 203 games, followed by Carmelo Anthony (108) and Richie Guerin (87). Ewing spent 15 seasons in New York, Anthony seven, and Guerin eight. Brunson is only in his fourth year as a Knick \u2014 and could very well pass Guerin later this season.<\/p>\n

Fans have even begun to campaign for Brunson as an MVP candidate, especially if he can lead New York to a top seed in the Eastern Conference.<\/p>\n

Under new head coach Mike Brown, the Knicks have been transitioning to a faster-paced, motion-based offense \u2014 a stark contrast from Tom Thibodeau\u2019s isolation-heavy system. Many feared this would reduce Brunson\u2019s usage, but it\u2019s only made him more efficient and dangerous with the ball.<\/p>\n

The Timberwolves, at 4-3, are still searching for their rhythm. Expect Brunson to attack early and often, especially against veteran Mike Conley, who\u2019s seen his productivity dip.
