The most popular choice, with 7,700 votes, was \u201clegacy\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis incredible livery campaign with Gulf has really brought that to life,\u201d said team principal James Vowles, \u201cand it will be a privilege to race every lap in Brazil with the passion and emotion of our fans woven into this beautiful design on the car.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Gulf\u2019s racing colours were made famous by Porsche in sportscar racing. However they have been applied to F1 cars for one-off events three times in the last five years. McLaren, which was previously sponsored by the petrochemicals brand, first used their colours at the Monaco Grand Prix in 2021.<\/p>\n<p>Williams altered its livery on two previous occasions this year.
