Milwaukee Bucks Head Coach Doc Rivers cracks a joke about the Blue Jays’ World Series loss while he was in Toronto to play the Raptors on Tuesday night. <\/p>\n

If the Toronto Blue Jays had won the World Series, the team may have got an invite to the White House to meet the U.S. president, as championship teams often do.<\/p>\n

But the Commissioner\u2019s Trophy slipped out of the Jays\u2019 hands<\/a> on Saturday in what is being described by many in the baseball world as one of the best Game 7s ever played in the World Series. <\/p>\n

Instead, the Los Angeles Dodgers will be heading to the U.S. capitol for the second straight year to meet with U.S. President Donald Trump, who congratulated the team on their 5-4 victory writing \u201cSEE YOU ALL AT THE WHITE HOUSE!!!\u201d in a post on Truth Social.<\/p>\n

If the Jays had won it all though, would Trump extend a similar invitation to Canada\u2019s team?<\/p>\n

Well, at least one NBA coach doesn\u2019t think so.<\/p>\n

\u201cLook at the good news, Donald Trump wasn\u2019t going to invite you to the White House anyway,\u201d Milwaukee Bucks head coach Doc Rivers said with a laugh on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

Rivers made the tongue-in-cheek remark that was met with laughter before the Bucks\u2019 blowout 128-100 loss to the Toronto Raptors at Scotiabank Arena.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe all OK?\u201d he asked as he entered the press room, which was mostly filled with Toronto media, before tipoff.<\/p>\n

\u201cGod that was a hard one. Listen, that was a great World Series. It was awesome.\u201d<\/p>\n

Rivers praised both teams for their abilities and said that while the Jays did \u201ceverything right,\u201d it\u2019s the little things, like base running, that slowed them down.<\/p>\n

\u201cGod that game was heart-wrenching,\u201d he said. \u201cIt was so funny. I found myself wanting no one to lose. That was a great World Series. It really was.\u201d<\/p>\n

Rivers also revealed he had been texting with Dodgers\u2019 manager Dave Roberts and that he was \u201cprobably still inebriated\u201d after the win, or golfing.<\/p>\n

The Milwaukee coach quickly changed the topic after his joke about the White House visit, saying he gets himself into trouble \u201ctoo much.\u201d<\/p>\n
