Major League Baseball said it is the most-watched game since Game 7 of the 1991 World Series between the Minnesota Twins and Atlanta Braves.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dcr-130mj7b\">Last Saturday\u2019s game averaged 27.33m on Fox Sports, Fox Deportes and Fox\u2019s streaming platforms. According to Nielsen, it was the second most-watched broadcast of last week.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dcr-130mj7b\">It also was the most-watched Fall Classic game since 2017\u2019s Game 7 between the Dodgers and Houston Astros averaged 29.07m. It was the most-watched, English-language broadcast since the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dcr-130mj7b\">In Japan, where the deciding game had a 9m local start time, the average was 12m after last Friday\u2019s Game 6 \u2013 where <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/sport\/world-series\" data-link-name=\"in body link\" data-component=\"auto-linked-tag\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">World Series<\/a> MVP Yoshinobu Yamamoto allowed one run in six innings \u2013 averaged 13.1m, the most-watched World Series game on a single network in Japan.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dcr-130mj7b\">The entire seven-game series averaged 15.71m on Fox, a 2% increase from last year\u2019s Dodgers-Yankees series. It is the first time since 2015 and \u201816 the World Series has had audience increases two straight years.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dcr-130mj7b\">Including the Game 1 telecast on Univision, the complete US average was 16.1m.
