{"id":268257,"date":"2025-11-07T18:05:11","date_gmt":"2025-11-07T18:05:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/268257\/"},"modified":"2025-11-07T18:05:11","modified_gmt":"2025-11-07T18:05:11","slug":"parker-retzlaff-to-join-viking-motorsports-in-2026","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/268257\/","title":{"rendered":"Parker Retzlaff to join Viking Motorsports in 2026"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Parker Retzlaff will pilot the No. 99 Viking Motorsports Chevrolet in the 2026 NASCAR O&#8217;Reilly Auto Parts Series.\u00a0Danny Efland will work with Retzlaff as the crew chief, coming over from Am Racing.<\/p>\n<p>Veteran crew chief Pat Tryson, who led the No. 99 in 2025, will transition into a new role within the organization.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Parker brings youthful energy, talent, and a hunger to win that aligns perfectly with our Viking spirit,&#8221; said team owner Don Sackett in a release from the team. &#8220;Danny\u2019s technical expertise and leadership will strengthen our team in the race shop and at the track. He ended the year 22nd in the championship standings.<\/p>\n<p>Retzlaff has 107 starts in the secondary level of NASCAR, earning two poles, four top fives, and 15 top tens.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cJoining Viking Motorsports feels like the perfect fit,&#8221; said Retzlaff. &#8220;You can feel the passion and drive this team has from top to bottom. The No. 99 Chevy has huge potential, and I\u2019m ready to give everything I\u2019ve got for Don, Danny, and the whole Viking family.
