Our baseball family showed up for us and we wouldn\u2019t be able to do this without them. Thank you Dodger Nation, Blue Jays organization and all baseball fans for your love and support. We have seen ALL your messages, comments and posts. It\u2019s brought us so much comfort,\u201d they went on to say.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLastly, we\u2019d like to thank Cedars Sinai and all the medical staff who helped Kayla and Sterling. Every person we came across was truly so incredible. With Love, The Vesias.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The two first made their romance official on social media in 2019, and got engaged in 2023. They got married in January of 2024. The couple announced they <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/babyy_vesia\/p\/DIWtYBzPpup\/\" onclick=\"getOutboundLink(&#039;https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/babyy_vesia\/p\/DIWtYBzPpup\/&#039;); return false;\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">were expecting back in April.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>It was also announced that Alex would not be joining his Los Angeles Dodgers teammates at the 2025 World Series due to a \u201cdeeply personal family matter\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.justjared.com\/2025\/10\/24\/dodgers-pitcher-alex-vesia-to-miss-world-series-2025-as-he-pregnant-wife-kayla-deal-with-deeply-personal-family-matter\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">back in October.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Our thoughts are with the family at this incredibly difficult time.
