{"id":270235,"date":"2025-11-08T15:32:14","date_gmt":"2025-11-08T15:32:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/270235\/"},"modified":"2025-11-08T15:32:14","modified_gmt":"2025-11-08T15:32:14","slug":"toronto-maple-leafs-tanev-back-on-ice-saturday","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/270235\/","title":{"rendered":"Toronto Maple Leafs\u2019 Tanev back on ice Saturday"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"c-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/nhl\/team-page\/toronto-maple-leafs\/10\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/nhl\/team-page\/toronto-maple-leafs\/10\" target=\"_blank\">Toronto Maple Leafs<\/a> defenceman <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/nhl\/player\/chris-tanev\/8475690\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/nhl\/player\/chris-tanev\/8475690\" target=\"_blank\">Chris Tanev<\/a> was back on the ice Saturday ahead of the team\u2019s session, reports TSN\u2019s Mark Masters. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">This comes one week after he left last weekend\u2019s game in Philadelphia against the Flyers on a stretcher.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">In last Saturday\u2019s 5-2 victory over the Flyers, Tanev collided with Philadelphia\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/nhl\/player\/matvei-michkov\/8484387\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/nhl\/player\/matvei-michkov\/8484387\" target=\"_blank\">Matvei Michkov<\/a> shoulder to shoulder with 11:37 minutes remaining in the game and he went down to the ice after his head snapped back. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">He was attended to by trainers with his head and neck stabilized and was stretchered off the ice. Michkov was given a two-minute interference penalty for the hit on Tanev, who was returning from a four-game absence due to a concussion. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Berube told reporters after the game Tanev went to hospital for testing.
