The mystery of Hiroshi Tanahash<\/a>i\u2019s final opponent at Wrestle Kingdom 20<\/a> next year has finally been revealed.<\/p>\n

This morning, during New Japan Pro-Wrestling<\/a>\u2018s Road To Anjo event, after Tanahashi picked up a victory over Yuto-Ice, the live crowd at the Tosho Arena Anjo in Anjo, Aichi Prefecture, Japan got a special treat with the surprise return of AEW<\/a> Unified Champion Kazuchika Okada<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Okada made his way to the ring with Gedo and faced off with Tanahashi, revealing himself as his final opponent next year at Wrestle Kingdom 20. <\/p>\n

Tanahashi and Okada are no strangers to each other, especially at Wrestle Kingdom. This will be their fourth matchup together at Wrestle Kingdom. Their last one took place in 2016. <\/p>\n

Their rivalry extends way past Wrestle Kingdom, as this will be their 18th one-on-one match together. The last match took place at The New Beginning in Osaka in 2024, which saw Okada defeat Tanahashi. <\/p>\n

While WWE Superstar Shinsuke Nakamura was discussed as Tanahashi\u2019s final opponent, it was seen as a pipe dream and never came to fruition. <\/p>\n
