Buffalo Bills<\/a> quarterback Josh Allen had a game for the ages against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 9, but may have gotten a tad overzealous at points during the contest. <\/p>\n

That was the opinion of the NFL<\/a>, which fined Allen $14,491 on Saturday for unsportsmanlike conduct for what the league described as “a violent gesture,” per its Office of Gameday Accountability<\/a>. <\/p>\n

The gesture in question was due to “finger-guns” that Allen and wide receiver Elijah Moore exchanged following a touchdown run by Allen late in the third quarter, which put Buffalo ahead 28-13 and was the Bills’ final score of the afternoon.<\/p>\n

The NFL also fined Moore for his part in the celebration, dinging him for a total of $13,888. <\/p>\n

Allen finished the game with a franchise record completion percentage of 88.5 percent. He completed 23 of 26 passes for 273 yards and one touchdown<\/a>. He also tallied six rushes for 19 yards and two touchdowns.<\/p>\n

The quarterback spoke after the game about how he was feeling entering the contest. <\/p>\n

“To be candid, you feel it in your mechanics sometimes,” Allen said<\/a>. “Early on in the game, you know when you’re — I call it ‘slotted.’ When the ball is coming out of your hand as good as you really want it. I had a really good feeling early on in this game.”<\/p>\n

Allen also broke the all-time NFL record for rushing touchdowns from the QB position by punching in his 77th and 78th career scores on the ground, first tying and then surpassing Cam Newton. Buffalo (6-2) heads south on Sunday to take on the AFC Division rival Miami Dolphins in Week 10.<\/p>\n
