article font size<\/p>\n<p>A local official says testing has revealed \u201cno contamination\u201d of a local water system on Kamloops Lake in B.C. after more than 80,000 litres of aviation fuel spilled on its shores in a <a href=\"https:\/\/globalnews.ca\/tag\/train-derailment\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">train derailment<\/a> last weekend.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/1762614923_240_70c8fc80.png\" alt=\"\" style=\"position:absolute;width:1px;height:1px\" referrerpolicy=\"no-referrer-when-downgrade\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Michael Grenier, director for Area J of the Thompson-Nicola Regional District, says in a social media post that test results show \u201cno direct impact\u201d on the quality of drinking water in Savona, whose 700 residents live on the southwestern shore of Kamloops Lake.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" width=\"170\" once a day.<\/p>\n<p>Grenier says the regional district is still waiting for test results for the Walhachin community water system, adding that the risk \u201cvery remains very low\u201d at this time.<\/p>\n<p>Grenier says regular testing of water quality will continue, adding that the regional district will inform residents of Savona and Walhachin of any changes through its alert Kansas City says in a statement that it \u201cremains fully committed\u201d to the cleanup of the train derailment, which happened Nov. 1 near Cherry Creek, about 20 kilometres west of
