DeLAND, Fla. – North Florida men’s tennis finished out its final event of the fall slate traveling down to compete in the Stetson Invitational from Nov. 7-9 at Mandy Stoll Tennis Center.<\/p>\n
Overall, the Ospreys were 18-11 through three days of play between both singles and doubles. UNF picked up five wins in doubles over the first two days, while also going an outstanding 13-4 in singles competition that included a UNF-UNF singles duel on Saturday.<\/p>\n
Breno Marques<\/a>, Joao Portugal<\/a>, Jean Deloziere<\/a> and Benjamin Scott<\/a> all went undefeated in singles competition. The final day of singles was canceled against Stetson due to inclement weather.<\/p>\n Against Kennesaw State on the first day, UNF split doubles competition, but earned a solid 6-2 mark against the Owls once it turned to singles. The Ospreys faced Boston College the following day and dominated the day, going 3-0 against the Eagles in doubles, as well as 6-1 in singles with four of the six victories in straight sets.<\/p>\n North Florida returns to the courts after the winter break with its season debut occurring on Sunday, Jan. 11, against South Carolina in Columbia, S.C.<\/p>\n Friday Doubles Competition (UNF vs. Kennesaw State)
