Luke Rockhold has taken aim at fan-favourite Kevin Holland following the latter\u2019s recent loss. Speaking on the Jaxxon Podcast, the former middleweight champion was asked about Holland\u2019s recent loss<\/a> to Mike Malott, where he suffered multiple low blows and was clearly affected as a result. He went on to lose the fight via unanimous decision. The loss extended Big Mouth\u2018s losing streak to two straight; however, props must be given as it was his fifth fight of 2025.<\/p>\n

Rockhold isn\u2019t sure if Holland was completely truthful in relation to how badly it affected him. He commented, stating:
\u201cIt wasn\u2019t really in the balls. I just watched that fight, I literally just watched it, and that was borderline, like, barely touching you. If you\u2019re wearing a cup, that doesn\u2019t hurt. It doesn\u2019t hurt that bad. All love for Kevin, but there\u2019s a lot going into that and it wasn\u2019t exactly necessary\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Luke Rockhold Questions Holland\u2019s Motives<\/p>\n

Luke Rockhold went on to question what Holland\u2019s motive was if indeed the foul wasn\u2019t as bad as it was being made out to be.
\u201cI don\u2019t know, maybe his balls are just really big or something. A little higher up? There\u2019s a lot going into this\u201d.
\u201cYou should just not fight or fight. Really, that\u2019s what it comes down to. He took five minutes and 30 seconds then he went into the fight and he was still grabbing his balls for the rest of the minute. Then he went into the next round, it\u2019s like he just kept going\u201d.<\/p>\n

The loss put Holland in a difficult position, slipping to 2-3 in his last five outings. He seems to have finally found a home at welterweight, competing at 170lbs for his past four fights. Prior to that, he flipped between welterweight and middleweight, where he was fairly undersized.<\/p>\n

Luke Rockhold<\/a> last competed in MMA back in 2022 and has tested the waters in a number of different combat sports since.
