The UFC is back in the city that never sleeps for UFC 322, its 12th and penultimate pay-per-view of the calendar year, and the popular “Embedded” fight week video series is here to document what’s happening behind the scenes.<\/p>\n

UFC 322 (pay-per-view, ESPNews\/Disney+\/FX, ESPN+) takes place Saturday at Madison Square Garden in New York.<\/p>\n

In the headliner, welterweight champion Jack Della Maddalena (18-2 MMA, 8-0 UFC) takes on Islam Makhachev (27-1 MMA, 16-1 UFC), who vacated the lightweight title to move up for a shot at a second belt. A similar situation is taking place in the co-feature, in which women’s flyweight champ Valentina Shevchenko (25-4-1 MMA, 14-3-1 UFC) defends against Zhang Weili (26-3 MMA, 10-2 UFC), who vacated the 115-pound title to move up.<\/p>\n
