One of Canada\u2019s biggest rock bands of all time is coming to one of Vancouver\u2019s newest stages next summer.<\/p>\n

Legendary classic rockers Burton Cummings and Randy Bachman are heading out on the road as The\u00a0Guess\u00a0Who, and will be playing the Freedom Mobile Arch as part of the 2026 PNE Fair.<\/p>\n

It will be\u00a0the first time in 23 years that Cummings and Bachman are touring under the name The Guess Who, having settled their trademark lawsuit with original members Jim Kale and Garry Peterson in 2024.<\/p>\n

Vancouver is one of 12 Canadian cities where the band will bring the Takin\u2019 It Back tour next year.<\/p>\n

The Guess Who found enormous success, both nationally and internationally, throughout the 1960s and 1970s with a long list of hit albums such as American Woman and\u00a0Share The Land.<\/p>\n

The band sold more records than the entire Canadian music industry combined by 1970 and was the very first Canadian group to reach Number 1 on the Billboard charts.<\/p>\n

\u201cRandy and I are thrilled that our songs have never gone away. That people still want to hear us perform them live,\u201d said Cummings in a release. \u201cWe are going to go out and honour the music.\u201d<\/p>\n

Cummings also recently posted on X<\/a> that the last show The Guess Who performed was on July 30, 2003, at the SARSfest in Toronto.<\/p>\n

Construction on the\u00a0new Freedom Mobile Arch amphitheatre at the PNE in Hastings Park<\/a> reached a significant milestone this summer, with the installation of the final segment of glulam beam for the landmark mass-timber roof structure.<\/p>\n

The long-planned venue\u2019s very first event will be its use for\u00a0Vancouver\u2019s official FIFA World Cup Fan Festival, spanning five weeks at the PNE fairgrounds<\/a> as a key celebration of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Later in Summer 2026, the amphitheatre will see its first use for greatly enhanced programming for the annual PNE Fair.<\/p>\n

The venue will adopt its\u00a0title sponsor name, Freedom Mobile<\/a>, along with other partner designations \u2014 including the announced BC Lottery Corporation (BCLC)<\/a>\u00a0\u2014 after the World Cup.<\/p>\n
