He absolutely, positively knew what was coming.<\/p>\n<p>Questions about his tender hamstring.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m gonna play, a hundred per cent,\u201d said the Alouettes pivot, insisting that there is no way he will miss the opportunity for his first ever Grey Cup start.<\/p>\n<p>In aggravating that left hammy of his in Saturday\u2019s Eastern Final win over Hamilton, Alexander admitted that his week ahead will be filled with tons and tons of treatment.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou know, my whole week will be rehab-filled, but haven\u2019t fully gone over like the practice plan yet,\u201d he told a gathering of reporters.<\/p>\n<p>Davis indicated that he doesn\u2019t yet really know how the injury will feel since he hasn\u2019t been on the field to test it out any time since the Eastern Final.<\/p>\n<p>At any rate, when he says rehab, he means A LOT of rehab.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cProbably lean (towards) four, five treatments a day,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>PRESSURE\u2019S WHAT YOU PUT IN TIRES<br \/>\n<img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-2780884\" decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-2780884 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/Trevor_Harris_2025_5-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"2043\" height=\"1152\"  \/><\/p>\n<p id=\"caption-attachment-2780884\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Trevor Harris spoke to the media after arriving in Winnipeg for the 112th Grey Cup (Thomas Skrlj\/CFL.ca)<\/p>\n<p>Saskatchewan quarterback <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cfl.ca\/players\/trevor-harris\/156305\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" data-ga-category=\"Clicks - Article\" data-ga-action=\"article-player-link\" data-ga-opt-label=\"Trevor Harris\">Trevor Harris<\/a> was the one who provided that headline, saying those words as he shrugged off the notion that he might be facing an awful lot of internal pressure, considering that he is searching for his first Grey Cup championship as a starter, at the age of 39 years old.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI totally get it,\u201d said Harris of the narrative that will be one of the big ones to dominate this week.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve been playing for a while and made it here a couple times now, and it sure would be awesome,\u201d he continued. \u201cBut I think I\u2019d just be more excited to do this with my teammates, more so than, like, getting this proverbial monkey off your back, or whatever it is.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTo finish the job is really what kind of motivates me, not really anything to do with my career,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>In expanding on his motivations for this Sunday\u2019s game, Harris talked about some of the Saskatchewan natives on his team, mentioning the likes of offensive lineman <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cfl.ca\/players\/logan-ferland\/162778\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" data-ga-category=\"Clicks - Article\" data-ga-action=\"article-player-link\" data-ga-opt-label=\"Logan Ferland\">Logan Ferland<\/a>, receiver Mitch Picton, long snapper <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cfl.ca\/players\/jorgen-hus\/159740\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" data-ga-category=\"Clicks - Article\" data-ga-action=\"article-player-link\" data-ga-opt-label=\"Jorgen Hus\">Jorgen Hus<\/a>, and offensive coordinator Marc Mueller.<\/p>\n<p>Harris says he knows just how big this would be for guys like those, especially.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI kind of just saw the joy in their face after we won the West final,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>2025 HITS A BIT DIFFERENT FOR THE ALS<\/p>\n<p>Back when the Alouettes marched to a victory in the 110th Grey Cup, they capped a season in which they rose from the ashes in order to lift the ol\u2019 mug.<\/p>\n<p>Picked by many to be dead last in the CFL that year, the Als used that insult as motivational dynamite, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=hEnuOrxsp_c\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">capped by quarterback <\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cfl.ca\/players\/cody-fajardo\/160140\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" data-ga-category=\"Clicks - Article\" data-ga-action=\"article-player-link\" data-ga-opt-label=\"Cody Fajardo\">Cody Fajardo<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=hEnuOrxsp_c\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">\u2019s famous \u201cbleep\u201d you, just watch speech<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>This year, they arrive at the Grey Cup not as axe-grinders but as a team that\u2019s been highly-respected for a lot if not all of the season.<\/p>\n<p>Motivations for this week, head coach Jason Maas explained, are a little different. They have to be.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo that year,\u201d Maas said, \u201cthe FYJW, that was the motivation guys used.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut since then, we\u2019ve built a solid foundation on work and work ethic, and our guys do a tremendous job staying planted where their feet are, every single day, putting that work in.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen you put that work in with your teammates, you believe anything\u2019s possible.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>So BAP replaces FYJW, then.<\/p>\n<p>HE USED TO HAVE A SOFT SPOT FOR THE ALOUETTES. One they made good on in a 28-27 win.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI was 12-years-old,\u201d said Emilus. \u201cI was rooting for the Alouettes \u2018cause that was my hometown team.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Not this time, that\u2019s for sure. But taking on the Als in his first Grey Cup appearance gives the 28-year-old a real charge.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe fact that it\u2019s my first Grey Cup and it\u2019s against this team, it\u2019s only gonna make the experience even better, you know?<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m excited for the opportunity.
