{"id":275678,"date":"2025-11-11T05:12:07","date_gmt":"2025-11-11T05:12:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/275678\/"},"modified":"2025-11-11T05:12:07","modified_gmt":"2025-11-11T05:12:07","slug":"man-61-dead-following-head-on-markham-crash","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/275678\/","title":{"rendered":"Man, 61, dead following head-on Markham crash"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A 61-year-old man is dead following a crash in Markham late Monday afternoon.<\/p>\n<p>York Regional Police say just before 5:40 p.m., a Volkswagen and Honda collided on Reesor Road and 16th Avenue.<\/p>\n<p>Two adult males were transported to the hospital with serious injuries. <\/p>\n<p>Police later confirmed that a 61-year-old male driver involved in the crash, has succumbed to his injuries, and pronounced deceased.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the second driver, a 50-year-old male, remains in the hospital with serious injuries.<\/p>\n<p>Reesor Road between Highway 7 and 16th Avenue remain closed for the collision investigation.<\/p>\n<p>It is unknown what caused the crash, or if anyone else was involved.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"A 61-year-old man is dead following a crash in Markham late Monday afternoon.
