SOPHIE Cunningham sported camo and denim as she headed to a concert in Kansas City over the weekend.<\/p>\n

The Indiana Fever<\/a> star, 29, is no stranger to the state of Missouri, hailing from Columbia and having played her college ball for the Tigers between 2015 and 2019.<\/p>\n

Cunningham<\/a> was subsequently drafted by the Phoenix Mercury and has so far enjoyed a seven-year WNBA<\/a> career.<\/p>\n

Despite her current success, Cunningham hasn\u2019t forgotten about her old school.<\/p>\n

With the WNBA out of season, the Indiana enforcer returned to Missouri for a Riley Green concert.<\/p>\n

Cunningham went to see the country superstar at T-Mobile Center in Kansas City \u2013 just a two-hour drive from the Tigers\u2019 Mizzou Arena home.<\/p>\n

The WNBA star beamed as she posed while holding a child decked out in the black and gold of Mizzou.<\/p>\n

Cunningham also posted a clip from the concert, as well as a backstage picture with Green.<\/p>\n

Plenty of social media users rushed to leave a comment, including Green himself.<\/p>\n

\u201cEnjoyed havin yall out,\u201d the 37-year-old wrote.<\/p>\n

\u201cLiving for this,\u201d former college swimmer Riley Gaines added.<\/p>\n

Cunningham spent her first six seasons in the WNBA with the Phoenix Mercury.<\/p>\n

Last year she was traded to the Fever in a multi-team deal which saw the Mercury acquire three-time All-Star Satou Sabally.<\/p>\n

She subsequently carved out a key role with Indiana, acting as an enforcer alongside Caitlin Clark<\/a>.<\/p>\n

This gained particular traction when Cunningham was ejected<\/a> for throwing Jacy Sheldon to the ground during a game.<\/p>\n

Sheldon had caught Clark in the face while battling for the ball, with the Fever superstar subsequently knocked to the ground.<\/p>\n

Cunningham was subsequently fined $400 for her role in the ruckus.<\/p>\n

The Fever star suffered a knee injury during an August 17 contest against the Connecticut Sun.<\/p>\n

It was then confirmed that she had torn her right MCL and would be missing for the rest of the season.<\/p>\n

Cunningham is entering free agency this offseason and has hinted that she could leave Indiana.<\/p>\n
