With the UFC back in the United States for UFC 322 on Saturday, Joe Rogan is returning to the broadcast team to call the fights on Saturday.<\/p>\n
After sitting out UFC 321, which took place in Abu Dhabi with Laura Sanko filling in that role, Rogan is back in his regular spot calling the fights ahead of arguably the biggest card of the year. Rogan doesn\u2019t travel internationally but he typically calls all of the major numbered events taking place in the U.S.<\/p>\n
For the broadcast on Saturday, Rogan is joined by his usual cohorts with play-by-play man Jon Anik and UFC Hall of Famer Daniel Cormier providing color commentary.<\/p>\n
Megan Olivi is also back handling reporting duties from inside Madison Square Garden with UFC 322 taking place in New York.<\/p>\n
UFC officials confirmed the broadcast plans to MMA Fighting on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
The upcoming card is one of the final two pay-per-view broadcasts under the UFC\u2019s current broadcast deal with ESPN. Starting in January when the UFC moves to Paramount, the numbered events like UFC 322 come at no extra cost to subscribers.<\/p>\n
UFC 322 is headlined by a welterweight title fight as champion Jack Della Maddalena takes on Islam Makhachev, who moves up to 170 pounds for the first time after ruling over the lightweight division for the past few years.<\/p>\n
If Makhachev is successful, he would become the 11th fighter in UFC history to hold titles in two divisions and he would become only the second person to hold belts at welterweight and lightweight after B.J. Penn was the first.<\/p>\n
In the co-main event, Valentina Shevchenko puts her flyweight title up for grabs when she faces former strawweight champion Zhang Weili, who is also moving up a division in an attempt to capture a second belt.<\/p>\n
