Simone Bolelli<\/a> and Andrea Vavassori<\/a> once again thrilled their home fans in Turin on Tuesday, when they sealed their semi-final berth at the Nitto ATP Finals<\/a> with another high-octane victory.<\/p>\n The Italians took down Marcel Granollers<\/a> and Horacio Zeballos<\/a> 7-6(4), 6-4 to extend their statement run at the season\u2019s grand finale. This year I think we came here more prepared, more focused. The crowd is unbelievable. I think we played two really good matches, especially today I think we played even better than the first one.\u201d<\/p>\n The turning point came late in a tense first set. Serving at 4-4, Turin native Vavassori fended off three consecutive break points before igniting the Inalpi Arena with a blistering backhand return winner in the tie-break, propelling them to a decisive 4\/2 lead they would not relinquish.<\/p>\n \u201cI think the atmosphere was unbelievable. These two matches, I have enjoyed a lot,\u201d said Vavassori. \u201cI think it was one of the best atmospheres I have ever played in. I’m always trying to raise the crowd in a respectful way, but trying to bring more energy. I think doubles also needs that because it’s very fast. I think people also enjoy watching doubles live.\u201d<\/p>\n Now unbeaten at 2-0 in the Peter Fleming<\/a> Group \u2014 having won all four sets played \u2014 Bolelli and Vavassori will face defending champions Kevin Krawietz<\/a> and Tim Puetz<\/a> in their final round-robin clash on Thursday. With their victory, they also improved to 3-2 in their Lexus ATP Head2Head series with Granollers and Zeballos.<\/p>\n With a 37-20 record on the year, according to the Infosys ATP Win\/Loss Index, the Italian duo continues to build on its impressive 2025 season, highlighted by titles in Adelaide, Rotterdam, Hamburg and Washington.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n
