The announcement triggered an outpouring of love for the former World No. 5, who has struggled with injuries and form throughout the last decade.<\/p>\n<p>What Did Eugenie Bouchard\u2019s Twin Sister Say About Her Retirement?<\/p>\n<p>On Wednesday, Bouchard announced her impending retirement on Instagram, attaching a few memorable pictures from her tennis journey. The pictures also included one of baby Bouchard holding a tennis racket.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou\u2019ll know when it\u2019s time. For me, it\u2019s now,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DMLSRHfRjMF\/?img_index=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow noreferrer\">she captioned the post<\/a>. \u201cEnding where it all started: Montreal.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In the comments section, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.profootballnetwork.com\/tennis\/eugenie-bouchard-twin-sister-boyfriend\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Bouchard\u2019s twin sister, Beatrice<\/a>, who is a digital lifestyle creator and influencer, penned a heartfelt note: \u201cWatching you chase your dreams with everything in your being has been one of the greatest joys of my life,\u201d Beatrice wrote.<\/p>\n<p>She continued, \u201cYou are the true definition of hard work, determination, HEART, and resilience. You made history, inspired a nation, and gave everything to this sport. But to me.. you\u2019ve always just been my hero. The same year, she also reached the semifinals at the Australian and French Opens.<\/p>\n<p>These accomplishments helped Bouchard become the first Canadian tennis player to be ranked in the top five in singles. She was also named the WTA\u2019s Most Improved Player for 2014. During her career, she made eight WTA-level finals, with her lone title coming at the Nurnberg Cup in Germany in May 2014.<\/p>\n<p>Bouchard is credited with inspiring a generation of young Canadian tennis players and helping the sport become more popular in her home country.<\/p>\n<p>Besides tennis, Bouchard is also participating in pickleball tournaments and joined the Professional Pickleball Association (PPA) Tour in 2024. Currently, she is ranked No. 12 in the world in the pickleball rankings.<\/p>\n<p>The Canadian also participated in the third annual Pickleball Slam, in which Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf defeated Andy Roddick and Bouchard in a $1 million pickleball match\u00a0at the Michelob ULTRA Arena in Las Vegas.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, Bouchard is known for her strong brand image and endorsements of New Balance (apparel), Yonex (racquets), Coca-Cola, and Aviva Canada.
