\u00a0The No. 9 Gannon women’s soccer team saw its postseason run halted on Tuesday night, falling 2-0 to Shepherd in the PSAC Quarterfinals at McConnell Family Stadium.<\/p>\n
It was a physical and chilly evening that marked Gannon’s first home loss of the season and the first time all year the Golden Knights trailed at halftime, but Gannon couldn’t get on the scoreboard despite outshooting Shepherd 16\u20133.<\/p>\n
The Rams, the No. 3 seed in the East, scored in each half to advance to the PSAC Final Four hosted by top-seeded No. 15 West Chester.<\/p>\n
The 2025 PSAC Women’s Soccer Championship\u00a0will feature all Eastern Division teams West Chester, Kutztown, Shepherd, and Millersville, with action beginning on Friday, November 14, and the championship set for Sunday, November 16.<\/p>\n
The match was a rematch of last year’s NCAA Division II Round of 16 contest, which Shepherd also won 1-0.<\/p>\n

\n\tRare Home Defeat: The setback was Gannon’s first home loss this season and only its second defeat overall. It also marked the first time this season the Golden Knights failed to score at home.
