size<\/p>\n<p>Health Canada is <a href=\"https:\/\/recalls-rappels.canada.ca\/en\/alert-recall\/nitrous-oxide-chargers-sold-inhalation-without-market-authorization-din-0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">recalling nearly a dozen \u201claughing gas\u201d products<\/a> it says are being sold recreationally without authorization, which poses a serious safety risk.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/1762614923_240_70c8fc80.png\" alt=\"\" style=\"position:absolute;width:1px;height:1px\" referrerpolicy=\"no-referrer-when-downgrade\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Nitrous oxide is approved for use when administered by an authorized health-care professional, including in medical and dental procedures for sedation and pain relief, according to Health Canada.<\/p>\n<p>Some of the recalled items were sold as \u201ccream chargers\u201d with brand names like \u201cBamboozle\u201d and \u201cGold Whip,\u201d and candy-like and fruit flavours including \u201cLemon Mint Ice,\u201d \u201cStrawberry\u201d and \u201cPassion Fruit.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Others included in the recall are Canada advisory.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The government says not to inhale nitrous oxide products recreationally, and that users should seek immediate medical attention from a health-care professional if they government\u2019s previous statement<\/a> warning of the risks of using nitrous oxide recreationally, adverse side effects may include birth defects, impaired bowel and bladder function, heart attack and stroke, nerve damage, loss of consciousness and in some cases, death.<\/p>\n<p>Nitrous oxide can also be found in cream dispensers and other food tools where it is not meant to be inhaled, and has common recreational street names including \u201claughing gas,\u201d \u201cwhippets,\u201d \u201cNOS,\u201d \u201chippy crack\u201d and \u201cnang.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\t\tMore on Health<br
