\n\tThe creative team behind \u201cJumbo<\/a>,\u201d Indonesia<\/a>\u2019s highest-grossing film of all time, is reuniting for another family-oriented project.<\/p>\n

\n\tVisinema<\/a> Studios is producing a live-action adaptation of \u201cNa Willa<\/a>,\u201d based on the children\u2019s novel by Reda Gaudiamo. The project marks the second collaboration for director-writer Ryan Adriandhy, producer Anggia Kharisma and producer Novia Puspa Sari, who previously worked together on \u201cJumbo.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tSet in 1960s Surabaya, \u201cNa Willa\u201d centers on an imaginative young girl navigating everyday life in Indonesia. The studio describes the film as a heartfelt story celebrating childhood and Indonesian family life.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe project represents Adriandhy\u2019s live-action feature debut following his work directing and writing \u201cJumbo.\u201d Newcomer Luisa Adreena will star in the title role, alongside Irma Rihi (\u201cWomen from Rote Island\u201d) and Junior Liem.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201c\u2019Na Willa\u2019 goes beyond simply adapting a story, it carries forward the spirit that made \u2018Jumbo\u2019 so special,\u201d said Herry Salim, group president of Visinema and CEO of Visinema Studios. \u201cWith \u2018Na Willa,\u2019 our goal is to deliver a film that not only moves people but also offers a rich visual and emotional experience \u2014 one that truly delights from start to finish.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI fell in love with \u2018Na Willa; the moment I read the novel, its honesty and simplicity were extraordinary,\u201d Adriandhy said. \u201cFor years, I\u2019ve imagined how the \u2018Na Willa\u2019 world could come alive on screen and the way a child sees life.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tAuthor Gaudiamo added: \u201cI know \u2018Na Willa\u2019 is in the right hands of those who truly love her, and I can feel that warmth in every detail.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe film is currently in production for a 2026 release in Indonesia.<\/p>\n

\n\tVisinema Studios has had a banner year following the success of \u201cJumbo,\u201d which became both the most-watched Indonesian film and the highest-grossing Southeast Asian animated film of all time.
