On Wednesday evening<\/a>, the Edmonton Oilers<\/a> began a seven-game road trip, with their first stop coming in the Brotherly Love to face the Philadelphia Flyers<\/a>. For the second consecutive game, the Oilers won the game courtesy of Jack Roslovic. Let\u2019s take a look at what happened in this one!<\/p>\n Late in the first period, it was the Oilers that opened the scoring. After Connor McDavid\u2019s shot was stopped, Matthew Savoie funnelled the puck across the ice, landing on the stick of the Oilers captain. Overall, the Oilers outshot the Flyers 32-21, with the two teams having similar high-danger scoring chances. The only reason this game was close was because of Flyers netminder Daniel Vlada\u0159.<\/p>\n However, Stuart Skinner had a strong game as well. The Oilers\u2019 netminder stopped 20 of 21 shots for a .952 save percentage. It\u2019s just the fourth game this season he\u2019s finished with a save percentage above .900.<\/p>\n This was the Oilers\u2019 eighth win of the season, moving them to second in the Pacific Division, although with three more games played than the Vegas Golden Knights. Half of their wins have come in overtime.<\/p>\n Matthew Savoie was the Oilers\u2019 best player. His two assists in this game doubled his point total this season, giving him a goal and four points in 18 games.
