Iga Swiatek will head to the Canadian Open in Montreal full of confidence after securing her first Wimbledon title earlier this month. <\/p>\n

Swiatek defeated Amanda Anisimova<\/a> in dominant fashion, recording a double bagel against the American in the final at the All England Club to hold the trophy aloft. <\/p>\n

It was the Pole\u2019s first title of the season, having made just one final prior to her triumph in South West London, which came at the Bad Homburg Open.<\/p>\n

After rising back up the rankings to world number three, Swiatek<\/a> is back to her best on the WTA<\/a> Tour, and Serena Williams<\/a>\u2018 former coach, Rick Macci<\/a>, thinks things are about to get even better for the Wimbledon<\/a> champion. <\/p>\n

Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, Macci said: \u201cIga went to another level mentally at Wimbledon. <\/p>\n

He said of the six-time major winner in another post: \u201cThe Polish Punisher on grass was opening up the court like the Red Sea parting.<\/p>\n

Swiatek kicked off her season with a semi-final appearance at the Australian Open, where she ultimately fell to Madison Keys<\/a> in a third-set tiebreak. <\/p>\n

She went on to record final-four finishes at the Qatar Open and the Indian Wells Open before the start of the clay swing. <\/p>\n
