Joffe Books has hired Rachel Slatter as\u00a0editorial director, and will be joining on 1st September 2025.<\/p>\n
Slatter joins Joffe Books<\/a> from Severn House<\/a>, the genre-fiction imprint of Canongate where she is currently editorial director. She has commissioned and edited authors such as New York Times bestsellers Lee Goldberg, Wendy Corsi Staub, Simon R Green and Barbara Hambly; Sunday Times bestseller David Mark; and award-winning authors Adam Oyebanji, Qiu Xiaolong and Mette Ivie Harrison.<\/p>\n In her new role at Joffe Books, Slatter will report to Kate Lyall Grant, publishing director, with a brief to commission crime and thrillers for the Joffe list. Joffe Books is home to authors such as Joy Elis and Faith Martin.
