Two Island musicians earned five nominations each for the 2026 Music P.E.I. Awards.<\/p>\n
Lennie Gallant and Logan Richard top the list of nominees, announced Thursday.<\/p>\n
They\u2019re followed closely by Diana Delirio, Richard Wood, siddhu sneh and Tiffany Liu, who each received four nominations.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe awards highlight the incredible talent and dedication of P.E.I.\u2019s artists and industry professionals, showcasing a wide range of genres and contributions to the Island\u2019s music industry,\u201d Music P.E.I. said in a news release.<\/p>\n
The ceremony will return to the Harbourfront Theatre in Summerside, the same venue that hosted the first awards in 2001, to mark the 25th anniversary of the event.<\/p>\n
Island musician Teresa Doyle will receive the lifetime achievement award in recognition of her long-standing contributions to the province\u2019s music community.<\/p>\n
Music P.E.I. executive director Rob Oakie said this year’s crop of nominees reflects the evolution of the province’s music scene. <\/p>\n
\u201cOur music community is so diverse now with styles, genres, people from outside of Canada,” Oakie told CBC News.<\/p>\n
\u201cA lot of it has to do with the [Holland College] School of Performing Arts bringing students from all over the world to Charlottetown, and they\u2019ve stayed and become part of our music community here.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Two awards will be determined by fan voting. Islanders can vote for entertainer of the year and music video of the year from Nov. 13 to Dec. 15 on the Ocean 100 and Hot 105.5 websites.<\/p>\n
Members of the punk group Dazey, which is up for three awards for its This is all i am i guess EP performed during the nomination announcement in Summerside on Thursday. Group member Hannah Bridger also received a nod for visual artist of the year for her work on the album’s cover art. <\/p>\n
\u201cWe weren\u2019t entirely expecting it, but it\u2019s pretty sweet,” Bridger said of the nominations. <\/p>\n
\u201cWe worked super hard to put together\u2026 a whole, cohesive EP, so it was cool to get the EP nominated and also all the artwork nominated for it.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
The awards will be presented during P.E.I. Music Week, which runs Feb. 28 to March 7.<\/p>\n
