If you’re sick of all the reboots, remakes and IP-driven movies hitting cinemas these days, visionary director Gore Verbinski, known for implementing his distinctive visual style across genres including the terrifying suspense of The Ring and the unsettling Gothic horror of A Cure for Wellness, is returning to the big screen with a compellingly original offering.<\/p>\n
The anticipation is building rapidly following the debut of the teaser trailer for his latest project: Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t Die.<\/p>\n
The film will be distributed in the U.S. by Briarcliff Entertainment.<\/p>\n
The trailer hints at a wildly entertaining and spectacular science fiction adventure, characterized by both imaginative world-building and the dark, witty sensibility that defines Verbinski’s best works.<\/p>\n
Early impressions from the film’s surprise Fantastic Fest premiere back in September position the film as a much-needed breath of fresh air and a major theatrical event that shouldn’t be overlooked because it’s dropping in the first quarter of 2026.<\/p>\n

On how the film relates to the current world’s introduction and growing reliance on AI, Verbinski stated,<\/a> “Well, I think in the case of a movie that\u2019s about AI, that\u2019s the sort of, I mean, that\u2019s the beginning, right? I mean, the fact that we don\u2019t communicate with each other, I think is essential to sort of what, you know, it fascinates me that AI sort of, right out of the gate, is taking songwriting and illustration, and all of these kind of, like, what is it going to do next? Does it want to breathe for us? Like, there are certain things we, like, go just, you know, cure cancer, go to Mars. Like, what are you doing attacking the shit that we need to do?”<\/p>\n
