A Malaysian couple on a global cycling journey has now reached Sweden, where they are making their way through V\u00e4rmland on their first European route.<\/p>\n

Nora Adila and Ahmad Isa, from Kuala Lumpur, describe their adventure as a \u201cJourney of Wisdom.\u201d According to Swedish broadcaster SVT, the couple was interviewed on Thursday in Kristinehamn before continuing their ride toward Karlstad.<\/p>\n

During their long-distance travels, they sleep in a tent, hotels, with host families \u2014 and most recently, at the local mosque in Kristinehamn. This is their third major cycling expedition. Their first journey in 2016 took them from Malaysia to Mecca across 14 countries, and their second in 2023 covered seven countries. This year marks the first time they are cycling in Europe.<\/p>\n

Ahmad told SVT that he has developed a particular affection for Sweden, highlighting the peace and privacy they find when setting up their tent.<\/p>\n

They also praise Sweden\u2019s well-developed cycling paths, although they note that many things differ from home.<\/p>\n

Nora describes European food as \u201cmuch simpler\u201d than what they are used to in Malaysia and says she experienced a mild culture shock when arriving in Europe. The cold and darkness of the Swedish November weather have also presented challenges.<\/p>\n
