\n\tStephen Colbert<\/a> is eschewing the Ed Sullivan Theater for LA\u2019s Chateau Marmont as The Late Show takes a short break.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe late-night show will skip an original episode this evening as Colbert is co-hosting GQ\u2019s Man Of The Year event this evening alongside Christy star Sydney Sweeney, The Studio\u2019s Seth Rogan, Frankenstein\u2019s Oscar Isaac, pop star SZA, hip hop duo Clipse and Hailey Bieber. The dress code is \u201890s Hollywood Red Carpet.<\/p>\n

\n\tIt means that network late-night is down to only two shows this evening \u2013 NBC\u2019s The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and Late Night with Seth Meyers \u2013 after Jimmy Kimmel took the rest of the week off following the death of his friend and bandleader Cleto Escobedo III.<\/a><\/p>\n

\n\tInstead, CBS<\/a> will be rerunning an episode with former First Lady Michelle Obama and Led Zeppelin legend Robert Plant.<\/p>\n

\n\tColbert recently appeared in GQ\u2019s Man of the Year issue, decked out in a bathrobe and Bob Evans-style sunglasses. In the interview, staged at the Marmont\u2019s pool, Colbert opened up about the end of The Late Show and teased plans for his next moves.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cListen, every show\u2019s got to end at some time. And I\u2019ve been on a bunch of shows that have ended sometimes by our lights and sometimes by the decision of other people. That\u2019s just the nature of show business. You can\u2019t worry about that. You got to be a big boy about that. But I think we\u2019re the first number one show to ever get canceled,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe former host of\u00a0The Colbert Report\u00a0said he wants to continue to make things in the future.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI love creating things and I still want to work with the people I work with. I don\u2019t know how you work with 200 people, 210, something like that, right? It\u2019s an enormous amount of people. I love them. And I want to continue to do that with them to the degree that I can. And I want to find that with other people too.
