The company recorded third-quarter revenue of $283.5-million in its satellite systems division.Ryan Remiorz\/The Canadian Press<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-article-body__text text-pr-5\">MDA Space Ltd. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theglobeandmail.com\/investing\/markets\/stocks\/MDA-T\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.theglobeandmail.com\/investing\/markets\/stocks\/MDA-T\/\">MDA-T<\/a> reported $24.4-million in net income for its third quarter, down from $29.5-million in the same quarter last year as its revenue rose 45 per cent compared with a year ago.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-article-body__text text-pr-5\">The company says the profit amounted to 19 cents per diluted share for the quarter ended Sept. 30, down from 24 cents per diluted share a year ago.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-article-body__text text-pr-5\">On an adjusted basis, MDA says it earned 35 cents per diluted share in its latest quarter, up from an adjusted profit of 28 cents per diluted share a year ago.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-article-body__text text-pr-5\">Revenue totalled $409.8-million, up from $282.4-million in the third quarter of 2024.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-article-body__text mv-16 l-inset text-pb-8\" data-sophi-feature=\"interstitial\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.theglobeandmail.com\/business\/article-mda-space-investment-maritime-launch-services-satellites\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">MDA invests in Canadian aerospace company developing launch site for satellites<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"c-article-body__text text-pr-5\">MDA says its satellite systems business saw $283.5-million in revenue for the quarter, up from $167.6-million a year ago, while its robotics and space operations businesses earned $78.3-million in revenue, up from $66.5-million in the same quarter last year.
