\n\tIn the midst of feuding with Blake Lively<\/a> while filming \u201cIt Ends With Us,\u201d Justin Baldoni<\/a> received texts of support from his friend, \u201cThe Office\u201d alum Rainn Wilson<\/a>. As a result of Baldoni\u2019s legal defense team filing the texts as evidence, the details of the group chat have been released<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\tOn a Jan. 5, 2024, text thread that included Baldoni, actor Travis Van Winkle, musician Andy Grammer and \u201cIt Ends With Us\u201d producer Jamey Heath, Wilson inquired, \u201cAny update Brothers?\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tBaldoni responded, outlining \u201cone of the hardest nights of my life,\u201d in which he had a terse discussion with Lively\u2019s husband, Ryan Reynolds.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cRyan was talking to me like a five-year-old and scolding me,\u201d Baldoni wrote. \u201cThey essentially said that Jamey and I are not who we claimed to be and that for us to have a podcast is unsafe because it makes people feel like we are safe.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThe word creepy and abuse were used in reference to me in my behavior,\u201d Baldoni wrote later in the message. \u201cI was then given the words of what to say, and had to apologize which I was unable to do because my brain was trying to comprehend what was happening.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI feel this was so unjust and yet the only path forward was to acknowledge her and Ryan\u2019s feelings and apologize and take the wrath of an angry husband,\u201d Baldoni also wrote.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cOh my God. I can\u2019t believe it,\u201d Wilson wrote in response. \u201cYou were set up and ambushed and personally attacked. I\u2019m stunned. I completely relate to you being stunned, like a deer in the headlights. Probably better that you didn\u2019t immediately Just start apologizing. So grateful that Jamey is your partner, and could step in diplomatically as needed. Onwards brother. Make a great and important and entertaining piece of storytelling. That\u2019s all you can do now.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tLively\u2019s initial legal action against Baldoni began when she filed a Dec. 20, 2024, complaint with the California Civil Rights Department, alleging Baldoni sexually harassed her and created a hostile work environment. Baldoni, in turn, sued Lively and Reynolds for defamation, but that case was dismissed.
