Indiana Fever teammates Sophie Cunningham and Lexie Hull served as caddies for Clark, with Cunningham noting this marked her debut LPGA experience.

Similar to Clark and her teammates, Korda and the basketball star developed an instant rapport, immediately engaging in playful banter from the opening hole. It comes as Clark outshone Kai Trump at the event.

On the front nine, both athletes found themselves roughly 15-feet apart on the fairway. Clark stepped up first and delivered a solid approach shot to the pin, but Korda managed to edge out the WNBA phenom with an even tighter placement.

“Let me have my moment, ok,” said Clark with a laugh.

“Nah, maybe on the back-nine, when I’m not here,” replied Korda.

“That’s alright,” said Clark with a smirk and a head shake.

The pair completed the front nine without any grievances, and Korda praised Clark’s transformative impact on women’s athletics.

“She’s great. She’s so fun to be around. It’s so cool to see how many people she brings to a different sport, how many fans she has, what a difference and how much of a needle she moves, really,” said Korda.

“It’s really cool to see and just a lot of appreciation for her for coming out here and also supporting us.”

Korda shared that she observed a strong bond among the team, including the caddies and the golfer. “You can tell that they all get along really well. I did ask them, you know, if the whole team gets along and she said yeah.

“It’s actually the best. Like our team this year, we all get along really well. And you can see it. They just have this really great energy around them.”

This positive vibe is expected to carry over to the basketball court when the WNBA season kicks off in May. Korda and Clark have been discussing playing a different kind of game.

“I occasionally play PIG and I lose every single time. Takes me a long time to really get warmed up,” said Korda. “But actually Caitlin and I were messaging and she’s like, this is unfair. I need to take you to a basketball court. Why are we always on a golf course?

“So maybe one day. I would definitely like to use some pointers. I don’t know if it’s the shot. I think it’ll be more of the movement for me.”

Three-time Annika tournament winner and former world No. 1, Nelly Korda, teamed up with WNBA sensation Caitlin Clark…

[629
129035,49,735,48,6673,95806,129036,82,630,129037
0":"post-283925","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-wnba","8":"tag-basketball-section","9":"tag-ca","10":"tag-caitlin-clark","11":"tag-canada","12":"tag-golf-section","13":"tag-nelly-korda","14":"tag-pro-am-event","15":"tag-sports","16":"tag-wnba","17":"tag-womens-athletics
["GET
