Hughes, of course, was a scratch from Friday\u2019s game because of an injury, either the arm or shoulder issue he had in Tuesday\u2019s game versus Winnipeg, or perhaps something else, like the groin aggravation he was dealing with a week ago.<\/p>\n Article content<\/p>\n Article content<\/p>\n After the game, head coach Adam Foote said Hronek was pulled from the game by the concussion spotter, following an ugly high hit by Carolina\u2019s Andrei Svechnikov with just over two minutes left in the third period.<\/p>\n Hronek played after the hit but not in overtime. They were previously scheduled to practice but given they did so on Thursday and have back-to-back games Sunday and Monday, it makes sense to use Saturday as a recovery day.<\/p>\n Unless there\u2019s an unexpected update from the team on Saturday, we likely won\u2019t know anything about Hronek\u2019s status until Sunday.<\/p>\n As for Hughes\u2019 status, Foote confirmed his captain skated on Friday morning and seemed ready to play, but as the game approached, Hughes started to feel off again and the captain decided to pull himself from consideration.
