It is a goal. But I think it is a journey that you\u2019re not going through alone. It\u2019s with your whole team, with your family, with your close people behind you always supporting you in the tough and good moments, which I\u2019m really, really proud about: having such a great team.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">\u201cI\u2019m still really proud about the team I have right now. Some new members in the team that I\u2019m really happy and proud to share this moment with them as well. For me it\u2019s a great achievement. It means the world to me and I\u2019m just really proud and happy.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">\u201cI want to continue because the support that I\u2019m receiving everywhere that I\u2019m going, I can\u2019t thank enough the people. We\u2019re traveling since the 1st of January until the end of November \u2014 new places, new countries, new stages and the people are always the same. The great energy, the great atmosphere, I feel the love everywhere that I\u2019m going.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">\u201cIn some tournaments, in some matches without the support of the people it wouldn\u2019t be possible to come back, to win, to lift trophies. I\u2019m really grateful for everyone for the energy and the love that I am receiving.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">\u201cThis trophy is obviously for them.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile Auger-Aliassime praised his serve in big moments and remained unfazed about facing Alcaraz in the semi-finals.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">\u201cIt was a great first set. He was getting a few chances but I came up with big serves to save them,\u201d Auger-Aliassime stated to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.atptour.com\/en\/news\/zverev-auger-aliassime-nitto-atp-finals-2025-friday\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">ATP website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">\u201cThe first set was very solid and the start of the second set was, too. I had a lot of chances. When that happens you need to focus on the present but you\u2019re aware of missed opportunities, so the match got a little tense from that moment. But I was able to hold serve and in the tie-break it was tight till the end.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is a high-value tournament for players. It\u2019s like a grand finale and when you have a look at the list of champions, there have been many No. 1s. You want to be in the final but I\u2019ll have to go through a great player to do that. It was a very special day playing in front of the home crowd, and against Ben it\u2019s always a tough challenge. When he comes up with a huge serve, you cannot do a lot, so you have to accept it. My mental aspect [has been] great until now, so let\u2019s see what\u2019s coming.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">\u201cWhen you have these kinds of losses, it\u2019s tough. So props to him to come back with an incredible performance against Taylor [Fritz]. I have to be very careful, because he doesn\u2019t have a lot to lose\u2026 I have a lot to lose.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, De Minaur praised a change in mentality after winning his first match of the tournament against Fritz.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor the first time in a long time, I forgot about the \u2018what ifs\u2019, the results, what happens if I miss this shot, what happens if I lose this match. I just committed to the way I wanted to play from the first point to the last. A couple days ago I didn\u2019t. That\u2019s what hurt so much,\u201d De Minaur explained to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.atptour.com\/en\/news\/de-minaur-reaction-nitto-atp-finals-2025-thursday\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">ATP website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">\u201cToday I knew that no matter what, I wanted to be proud of my decision making, my aggressive mindset, and I wanted to go out there and try to win the match.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">\u201cBut more than anything, regardless of the result today, I had made peace with myself. That was a big, big moment. I knew the way I wanted to play. I was going to commit to it from the first point to the last. I was okay with the result not going my way.
