Fuckin\u2026oof. Not every album we highlight on this weekly feature necessarily has to be a good one. Flowers is one of those albums that falls shy of the \u201cgood\u201d category. For a band that used to traffic exclusively in metalcore fury, they\u2019re taking the pop\/electronic route and god damn, it\u2019s just\u2026 not great. Yikes.<\/p>\n

Sometimes when I close my eyes listening to this band, I get moments where I swear I\u2019ve got a Mastodon track playing. There\u2019s a groove in the wrath displayed by this group that\u2019s undeniable. It\u2019s definitely trying to grasp you by the ear lobes and force you to pay attention \u2014 and that\u2019s a good thing.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
