With the 2025 Montana\u2019s Canadian Curling Trials<\/a> quickly approaching, TSN.ca will profile one men\u2019s team and one women\u2019s team each day before the first rocks fly on Nov. 22 at the Scotiabank Centre in Halifax. <\/p>\n

Highlights: Team Brown won all four of their round-robin games at the PointsBet Invitational before dropping the final to Team Rachel Homan, 6-2. They also won a bonspiel in Martensville, Sask., leading up to the Trials, beating Team Sara Miller in the final, 5-3. <\/p>\n

Team Brown will have a successful week at the Canadian Curling Trials if… <\/p>\n

\u201cThe roll from their play at the PointsBet Invitational in early October continues. Team Brown needs to avoid overdoing and over-complicating things and find a way to access the great Jim Cotter mind on the bench.\u201d <\/p>\n

Team Story <\/p>\n

Corryn Brown and her Kamloops rink will have a chance to make the playoffs if they can play up to their potential throughout the week at Scotiabank Centre. <\/p>\n

Team Brown had a great showing at the PointsBet Invitational in early October, winning all four of their round robin games against Trials opponents in commanding fashion, scoring at least nine points in each contest. <\/p>\n

They lost the final to Team Rachel Homan by a score of 6-2. <\/p>\n

\u201cObviously today\u2019s game wasn\u2019t what we would have liked, but I think we\u2019re really happy with the steps we\u2019ve made this week and really proved that we belong here,\u201d Brown said after the game.<\/a><\/p>\n

Team Brown\u2019s performance at the PointsBet was a stark contrast to how they played the previous week, going 0-4 at the Masters Tier 2 in St. Thomas, Ont. <\/p>\n

This will be the first Trials experience for all members of Team Brown. They were one away from making the Trials four years ago but dropped the second qualifier at the Pre-Trials to Team Jacqueline Harrison. <\/p>\n

Brown, Erin Pincott and Samantha Fisher have been teammates for nearly their entire curling careers, dating back to winning the 2013 Canadian Junior Curling Championship. <\/p>\n

Sarah Kolton, formerly of Team Kerri Galusha, joined Team Brown ahead of last season and has been crucial to their recent success over the last calendar year. <\/p>\n

Team Brown has represented British Columbia at four Scotties Tournament of Hearts since 2020, most recently reaching the playoffs last year in Thunder Bay with a 6-2 record. They lost to Nova Scotia\u2019s Team Christina Black in the 3 vs. 4-page playoff qualifier. <\/p>\n

Aside from their impressive run at the PointsBet, Brown\u2019s rink has two playoff appearances across five events, highlighted by a win in Martensville, Sask., earlier this month. <\/p>\n

If we see something close to the PointsBet version of Team Brown in Halifax, expect this West Coast foursome to be in playoff contention. <\/p>\n
