It will deploy the satellites into a polar orbit to <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/SpaceX\/status\/1949359325451112662?ref_src=twsrc%5Egoogle%7Ctwcamp%5Eserp%7Ctwgr%5Etweet\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:boost internet service;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">boost internet service<\/a> in polar regions.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The Starlink 17-2 mission launched from Space Launch Complex 4 East at 9:31 p.m. PDT.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The Falcon 9 ship with tail number B1075 took its 19th trip to space, including <a href=\"https:\/\/www.spacex.com\/launches\/sl-17-2#:~:text=16%20Starlink%20missions.\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:16 Starlink missions;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">16 Starlink missions<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">About 8 1\/2 minutes after liftoff, the ship landed on the droneship &#8220;Of Course I Still Love You,&#8221; in the Pacific Ocean.<\/p>\n<p><img alt=\"SpaceX launched a Falcon 9 rocket Saturday night from Vandenberg Space Force Base near Lompoc, Calif. Photo courtesy of SpaceX via X.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">It was the 142nd landing for this vessel and the 481st booster landing for SpaceX.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">There are more than <a href=\"https:\/\/www.upi.com\/Science_News\/2025\/07\/26\/FL-SpaceX-launched-28-Starlink-satellites\/8151753535046\/#:~:text=8%2C000%20Starlink%20satellites\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:8,000 Starlink satellites;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">8,000 Starlink satellites<\/a> in orbit, according to astronomer Jonathan McDowell.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">On Thursday, Starlink users reported a rare full network outage of Internet service. It began at 4 p.m. About 2 1\/2 hours later, SpaceX announced most service had been restored.
