Brooke Hamilton is a mother of two from New Brunswick, Canada<\/p>\n

Although the 35-year-old is well accustomed to her 10-year-old\u2019s spunky personality, she never expected it to shine so boldly in her school photos<\/p>\n

A TikTok video of her daughter\u2019s playful pose quickly went viral, racking up 7.5 million views<\/p>\n

When Brooke Hamilton sent her daughter, Zuri, and son, West, to school for picture day, she expected the usual lineup of sweet, smiling portraits \u2013 the kind that end up framed on a mantel or tucked into a grandparent\u2019s wallet.<\/p>\n

But when the final photos made their way home, the 35-year-old mother was equal parts shocked and amused by her daughter\u2019s chosen pose.<\/p>\n

\u201cI instantly started laughing,\u201d Hamilton tells PEOPLE exclusively. \u201cThe photos brought me so much joy!\u201d<\/p>\n

Although her 10-year-old daughter is known for her signature pose \u2013 one hand on her hip, the other flashing a peace sign, tongue out and a playful wink to top it off \u2013 Hamilton never expected to see it featured in a school photo.<\/p>\n

According to the mother of two, the fifth grader had asked the photographer if she could \u201ctry one of her own poses,\u201d and he had let it slide.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe is always posing in photos and in videos at home,\u201d Hamilton reveals. \u201cThis is her \u2018go-to,\u2019 making the photo a perfect representation of her.\u201d<\/p>\n

In previous years, Zuri and West\u2019s school photos felt more posed and serious, with expressions that seemed \u201cuncomfortable.\u201d<\/p>\n

This time, though, the pictures captured her kids\u2019 true personalities \u2014 the kind they\u2019ll look back on and fondly remember.<\/p>\n

\u201cZuri is always full of drama and spunk,\u201d she says, adding that her 8-year-old son “is always smiling and happy to go with the flow.\u201d<\/p>\n

This, however, isn\u2019t the first time one of her children decided to get creative while taking professional photos.<\/p>\n

A few years ago, around the holidays, West somehow convinced Santa to flash a \u201crock on\u201d sign toward the camera \u2013 creating a photo the family would never forget.<\/p>\n

And yet, Zuri and West\u2019s 2025 school photos left such an impression on friends, family and Hamilton\u2019s online community that many even asked for their own copies.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe will be giving everyone a print with their Christmas cards this year,\u201d she tells PEOPLE.<\/p>\n

When it comes to school photos, Hamilton believes kids should have the freedom to express themselves \u2014 whether that\u2019s through their outfits or fun, age-appropriate poses.<\/p>\n

After all, she says, those little touches are what make each photo truly special.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m all about letting kids be themselves,\u201d she says. \u201cEven if that means doing things a bit differently!\u201d<\/p>\n
