Bill Skarsg\u00e5rd is back as Pennywise in the coming weeks, the most iconic form that the shapeshifting entity is known to take. The first four episodes of the show have focused on various other nightmarish forms, but now that audiences have been properly seasoned, Pennywise is ready to feast. Serving as an expansion of\u00a0Andy Muschietti\u2019s\u00a0IT\u00a0films based on\u00a0Stephen King\u2018s 1986 novel, the show\u2019s first season is set in 1962. Muschietti himself directs multiple episodes.<\/p>\n
\u201cIT: Welcome to Derry\u201d has kicked off its story in 1962 in the time leading up to the events of It: Chapter One\u00a0(2017). From there, the planned second and third seasons will jump back in time and take place in their own distinct decades. The series is based on Mike Hanlon\u2019s interludes from King\u2019s book, which document \u201ccatastrophic events\u201d from Derry, Maine\u2019s past.<\/p>\n
The finale of the first season will premiere on Sunday, December 14.<\/p>\n
