{"id":288500,"date":"2025-11-17T08:30:13","date_gmt":"2025-11-17T08:30:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/288500\/"},"modified":"2025-11-17T08:30:13","modified_gmt":"2025-11-17T08:30:13","slug":"noussair-mazraoui-approaching-12-month-milestone-for-man-utd-hes-broken-his-streak-for-morocco","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/288500\/","title":{"rendered":"Noussair Mazraoui approaching 12 month milestone for Man Utd, he&#8217;s broken his streak for Morocco"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Manchester United defender Noussair Mazraoui is finding form at international level.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.unitedinfocus.com\/tag\/noussair-mazraoui\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Noussair Mazraoui<\/a> instantly looked like a bargain when Manchester United <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unitedinfocus.com\/transfer-news\/matthijs-de-ligts-first-words-as-a-man-united-player-as-club-confirm-signing\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">bought him from Bayern Munich<\/a> in 2024.<\/p>\n<p>Mazraoui kept a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unitedinfocus.com\/opinion\/manchester-united-may-have-signed-one-of-the-premier-leagues-best-bargains-the-fee-looks-like-a-steal\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">clean sheet on a winning debut<\/a>, and despite a rocky <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unitedinfocus.com\/throwbacks\/2024-25-manchester-united-season-final-position-top-scorer-memorable-matches\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">season<\/a> for Manchester United, he was a consistent high performer.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"40\" height=\"40\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/mail.png\" alt=\"mail icon\"\/>Join our newsletter for news &amp; smart analysis. <\/p>\n<p>The Moroccan made 57 appearances in all competitions for United, while playing in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unitedinfocus.com\/news\/five-different-positions-noussair-mazraoui-played-for-man-utd-in-2024-25\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">five different positions<\/a>, even <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unitedinfocus.com\/match-coverage\/erik-ten-hag-explains-reason-behind-decision-to-play-noussair-mazraoui-in-midfield-vs-fenerbahce\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">attacking midfield<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>But there was one area Mazraoui could and can improve \u2013 his attacking production.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" loading=\"lazy\"  src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/GettyImages-2245106453-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"Noussair Mazraoui playing against Tottenham\" class=\"wp-image-308602\" \/>Photo by Sebastian Frej\/MB Media\/Getty ImagesNoussair Mazraoui\u2019s assists<\/p>\n<p>Noussair Mazraoui has provided two assists for Manchester United since joining the club, both of which came in 2024.<\/p>\n<p>The first came when he set up a goal for Amad <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unitedinfocus.com\/news\/five-things-we-learned-from-manchester-united-1-2-brighton\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">against Brighton<\/a> in just his second game for United, and the other was against Bodo\/Glimt in November 2024.<\/p>\n<p>Mazraoui\u2019s assist for Rasmus Hojlund in the 3-2 win was almost a full year ago. He has not managed another for the club since.<\/p>\n<p>   \ud83d\udd34 Noussair Mazraoui | Manchester United Statistics   Season Appearances (All Competitions) Goals Assists     2024\/2025 57 0 2   2025\/2026 5 0 0   Total 62 0 2  <\/p>\n<p>Now for Morocco on international duty, Noussair Mazraoui is at least beginning to unlock his creative side.<\/p>\n<p>In his first 31 appearances for his country, Mazraoui failed to provide a single assist.<\/p>\n<p>But in the last three games, Mazraoui has managed two assists.<\/p>\n<p>The most recent saw him set up a winning goal for teammate Azzedine Ounahi in a 1-0 win over Mozambique.<\/p>\n<p>This little streak of attacking production can only benefit Mazraoui\u2019s confidence when he returns to Manchester United after the international break.<\/p>\n<p>Mazraoui will be looking to carry on his form when Morocco host Uganda on Tuesday 18.<\/p>\n<p>       Are you excited for World Cup 2026 in the USA? He <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unitedinfocus.com\/news\/two-injured-man-utd-stars-tipped-to-return-for-ruben-amorim-after-international-break-one-could-be-ready-vs-liverpool\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">missed a month of action<\/a> in October due to injury.<\/p>\n<p>Mazraoui <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unitedinfocus.com\/match-coverage\/five-things-we-learned-as-manchester-united-draw-2-2-with-tottenham\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">started for United against Tottenham<\/a>, his first start for the club since the 2-1 win over Chelsea at Old Trafford in late October.<\/p>\n<p>Under Ruben Amorim, Mazraoui has often played as part of a back-three, which has reduced his opportunity to get forward and join the attack.<\/p>\n<p>But as he is continuing to get a renewed taste for creating goals on international duty, it would be nice for Mazraoui to soon reset the near 12-month counter since his last assist in a Manchester United shirt.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Manchester United defender Noussair Mazraoui is finding form at international level.
