Kit Harington<\/a> has opened up about the awkwardness of going from on-screen siblings to on-screen lovers with his Game of Thrones co-star Sophie Turner <\/a>in the upcoming film The Dreadful.<\/p>\n

From director Natasha Kermani, the British Gothic horror film stars Turner, 29, as Anne, a woman whose life with her mother-in-law on the outskirts of society is disrupted when a man (Harington) from their past arrives unexpectedly.<\/p>\n

\u201c[Turner] was one that sent that movie to me and somehow didn\u2019t see what I saw in it,\u201d Harington told E! News<\/a>. \u201cI was like, \u2018These guys, these are lovers, right?\u2019 I felt very odd about that.<\/a>\u201d<\/p>\n

Harington, 38, who played Jon Snow in HBO\u2019s beloved medieval fantasy series<\/a>, alongside Turner as his on-screen sister, Sansa Stark, revealed the \u201cembarrassing\u201d logistics of filming a kissing scene together.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was slightly embarrassing, having to get on an apple box to kiss her because she\u2019s about a foot taller than me,\u201d he playfully teased. \u201cBut other than that, my dignity was pretty intact.\u201d<\/p>\n

Despite any weirdness, Harington cherished the reunion. \u201cIt was a good chance to be with her again and work together,\u201d he emphasized. \u201cWhat was lovely is that we got on set together and our friendship completely ignited again. It felt like being with family. It really did.\u201d<\/p>\n

Turner shared a similar sentiment during an earlier appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers. <\/a><\/p>\n

She recalled sending Harington the script, \u201cand he kind of sent me a message back going like, \u2018Yeah, I\u2019d love to, but this is going to be really f***ing weird, Soph.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Confused by his response, Turner said she flipped through the script. \u201cAnd it\u2019s like, \u2018Kiss, kiss, sex, kiss, sex\u2026\u2019 And then I\u2019m like, \u2018Oh, shoot, that\u2019s my brother,\u2019\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe put it out of our minds, and then we get on set and it\u2019s the first kissing scene, and we are both retching. Like, really, it is vile. It was the worst.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Dreadful, which also includes Marcia Gay Harden, Jonathan Howard and Laurence O\u2019Fuarain, does not yet have a release date.<\/p>\n

In the meantime, Harington stars in The Family Plan 2, a sequel to the 2023 action comedy, led by Mark Wahlberg and Michelle Monaghan, about a former government assassin whose family vacation overseas is interrupted by an enemy looking to settle unfinished business.<\/p>\n
