Nursing care company voize<\/a>\u00a0 has raised $50 million in Series A funding led by Balderton Capital, with participation from existing investors HV Capital, Redalpine and Y Combinator.\u00a0 <\/p>\n

The global nursing shortage has reached crisis point. The WHO predicts a global deficit of 4.5 million nurses by 2030<\/p>\n

Nursing, as ageing populations and rising care demands stretch teams thin. Europe alone is short 1.2 million<\/a>\u00a0healthcare workers, whilst\u00a0the US has an expected deficit of up to 450,000<\/a> nurses a year. Nurses lose 30 per cent of their time to admin work, costing $246 billion in labour across the US and Europe \u2014 the result: burnout, high turnover, and less time for patients \u2013 the heart of care. <\/p>\n

While many companies have built AI scribes for physicians, nurses \u2014 the backbone of healthcare \u2014 have been left behind. Their workflows are fundamentally different and too often overlooked, leaving them jotting vital notes on scraps of paper mid-shift. voize is changing that. <\/p>\n

As well, unlike most AI models, voize\u2019s system is so efficient that it runs locally on smartphones, with no constant internet connection required. <\/p>\n
