It\u2019s kind of sickening, really.\u201d<\/p>\n The fan, apparently a Hamilton Tiger-Cats supporter, based on his profile on X, attended the Grey Cup in Winnipeg, where he and O\u2019Shea met.<\/p>\n \u201cHe came up to me and said that he took that photo and it went viral after,\u201d the coach said.<\/p>\n The Winnipeg Sun’s Daily Headline News<\/p>\n Thanks for signing up!<\/p>\n Article content<\/p>\n Advertisement 3<\/p>\n This advertisement has not loaded yet, but your article continues below.<\/p>\n Article content<\/p>\n The Bombers quickly put a stop to the speculation with their own social-media post two days later, announcing O\u2019Shea was staying in Winnipeg but providing no details on the length of his contract extension until this week.<\/p>\n That initial announcement was a surprise, given the CFL\u2019s guidelines on teams not making news in the days leading up to the Grey Cup.<\/p>\n The coach had gone to Toronto to meet with Argonauts GM Mike (Pinball) Clemons, a friend and former teammate, about the Argos job. His record of success in Winnipeg made him a hot commodity across the CFL.<\/p>\n The Bombers had given the two sides permission to meet even though O\u2019Shea\u2019s contract wouldn\u2019t expire until the end of the calendar year.<\/p>\n The photo shows O\u2019Shea and Hamilton quarterback Bo Levi Mitchell, on his way to Winnipeg for the CFL awards show. He was a finalist for the Most Outstanding Player Award.<\/p>\n Advertisement 4<\/p>\n This advertisement has not loaded yet, but your article continues below.<\/p>\n Article content<\/p>\n O\u2019Shea says the stir created by photos like that online affects not just his professional life, but personal life, too.<\/p>\n \u201cAcross the board,\u201d he said. \u201cThere\u2019s no thought when somebody snaps something and posts something. They have no thought for somebody else\u2019s sanity.
