Wasn\u2019t she just complaining about how mean people are to her online?<\/p>\n
Barstool Sports personality Brianna Chickenfry has been in the spotlight quite a bit since her high-profile relationship, and explosive breakup, with country superstar Zach Bryan. While she\u2019s spoken extensively about the abuse she said she endured during the relationship, and of course the $12 million she was reportedly offered to sign an NDA after they split, Brianna has also talked about the hate she\u2019s received from being a public figure, especially in the wake of her breakup:<\/p>\n
\u201cPeople are always s\u2013tty, but I knew that. I knew there was going to be s\u2013tty people when I came forward. That\u2019s why it was so scary coming forward, because of his fans.\u201d<\/p>\n
Of course one of those people who she\u2019s called out for his comments on her has been her own coworker, Kirk Minihane.<\/p>\n
If you\u2019re not familiar with Minihane, he\u2019s a controversial figure for being outspoken and not really caring what he says or who he offends. And after Chickenfry began speaking about her breakup, Minihane (like everybody else at Barstool), gave his thoughts \u2013 which she didn\u2019t like, because he didn\u2019t take her side.<\/p>\n
The feud between Minihane and Chickenfry has resulted in an ongoing back and forth between the two, with Chickenfry claiming that she \u201chates\u201d podcasters and calling out Minihane (while on a podcast), and Minihane accusing Chickenfry of beating a dead horse for continuing to talk about Zach Bryan.<\/p>\n
At one point, Chickenfry even called Barstool Sports \u201cmisogynistic\u201d after comments from Minihane, apparently implying that he was singling her out because she\u2019s a woman.<\/p>\n
Now, to be clear, being a jerk is kind of his thing. He doesn\u2019t really care who he goes after, and you either love him or hate him for it.<\/p>\n
As his boss, Barstool Sports CEO Dave Portnoy put it:<\/p>\n
\u201cYou don\u2019t care male, female, you\u2019ll go after anybody.\u201d<\/p>\n
The conflict even resulted in Minihane being temporarily fired by Portnoy at one point, after Chickenfry apparently complained about Minihane attacking her, though it didn\u2019t last long (about four minutes).<\/p>\n
So yeah, all that to say, these two don\u2019t like each other.<\/p>\n
Well over the weekend, Minhane announced that he was stepping away from his show due to mental health struggles:<\/p>\n
I\u2019m taking some time off from the show \u2013 it\u2019s been a really tough last few months and I need to step away. About as low as I can remember, but I\u2019ll be OK. No idea when I\u2019ll be back. As always, it\u2019s OK to ask for help when you need it, and you\u2019re not alone.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s all. https:\/\/t.co\/ZsHmbxQilM<\/a><\/p>\n \u2014 Kirk Minihane (@kirkmin) November 16, 2025<\/a><\/p>\n Well sure enough, one of those who seemed to take joy in his mental health problems was\u2026Brianna Chickenfry.<\/p>\n After the announcement was made, Chickenfry took to her Instagram story with several slides mocking Minihane, calling him a \u201cfreak loser\u201d and laughing at him for having to take a mental health break:<\/p>\n She also posted another one wishing him the best while calling him an \u201cinsecure freak.\u201d<\/p>\n Of course it\u2019s a little ironic for Chickenfry, who has complained about all the hate she\u2019s received online, to then turn around and mock somebody for their own mental health issues. She\u2019s even accused Minihane\u2019s listeners of stalking her and threatening her, so you would think that at the very least she would want to stay out of it if his fans are really already harassing her. But what do I know.<\/p>\n Either way, many spoke up for Minihane and criticized Chickenfry, including some of her own coworkers, while quite a few pointed out the irony in her comments given her sponsorship from therapy provider BetterHelp:<\/p>\n One small-brained theatre chick took the whole show personally and held her bratty little grudge then couldn\u2019t help but try to hurt someone in the real world to get revenge.
