Former Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his ex-wife separated more than two years ago, but the couple are still making headlines. This time, it\u2019s because Gr\u00e9goire Trudeau has commented on her ex-husband\u2019s new amour: pop star Katy Perry.<\/p>\n

In an interview on the Arlene is Alone podcast<\/a>, Gr\u00e9goire Trudeau spoke with Canadian entrepreneur and businesswoman Arlene Dickenson about mental health, motherhood, and the constant scrutiny that comes with living in the public eye.<\/p>\n

While discussing what it is like to co-parent with her ex, the mother of three touched on her experience having a former partner who is always in the press.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re human beings, and stuff affects us. [That\u2019s] normal,\u201d she explained. \u201cHow you react to stuff is your decision.\u201d<\/p>\n

Gr\u00e9goire Trudeau says she chooses to \u201clisten to the music instead of the noise.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m very aware that a lot of public stuff out there can be triggers; we\u2019re humans,\u201d\u00a0 she continued. \u201cWhat I do with it is my decision.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Gr\u00e9goire Trudeau explained that she knows that the kind of woman she will be shaped into by this process is also up to her.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cDoes it mean that I don\u2019t have emotions? That I don\u2019t cry, scream, laugh? No, especially that I\u2019m a super tender heart,\u201d she said.\u00a0<\/p>\n

She explained that she lets herself feel all of the emotions, but grounds herself in the knowledge that only she is responsible for her actions and reactions.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ll let myself feel, I\u2019ll let myself be disappointed by someone. I\u2019ll let myself be angry, be sad. And I know as a mental health advocate how important it is to feel those emotions, but then what?\u201d she said.\u00a0<\/p>\n

TORONTONIANS SHARE HOW THEY WOULD REACT<\/p>\n

While Gr\u00e9goire Trudeau is apparently handling things with the maturity many of us could only dream of, many people in the city told Now Toronto that if they were in her shoes, they wouldn\u2019t be so cool, calm and collected.<\/p>\n

\u201cI would be distraught, I would be pretty distraught,\u201d Heider told Now Toronto.<\/p>\n

His partner, Mehar, agreed.<\/p>\n

\u201cEspecially since she\u2019s a big figure, she\u2019s not just a regular person off the street,\u201d she shared.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf my ex was dating a popstar, I\u2019d be like \u2018Go get \u2018em, live your best life,\u2019 go for it, man,\u201d Zahra shared.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s somebody else\u2019s boat to get on,\u201d she continued, calling Gr\u00e9goire Trudeau\u2019s reaction human.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt would be kind of annoying to see them everywhere on social media.
