Despite a monster game from Stephen Curry, the Golden State Warriors<\/a> suffered a 121-113 loss to the Orlando Magic<\/a> on Tuesday night — and Curry himself was left worse for wear following the defeat in Orlando’s Kia Center.<\/p>\n

Curry scored a game-high 34 points and made seven 3-pointers in a game for the third time this season. The two-time MVP also dished out a season-high nine assists in 34 minutes. But Curry’s heroics weren’t enough as the Warriors dropped to 9-7 (4-7 on the road) with their superstar guard playing through injury.<\/p>\n

Earlier this month, Curry missed three games due to illness, but he returned in a loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder<\/a> before he delivered consecutive 40-plus point gems in back-to-back wins over the San Antonio Spurs<\/a>. Golden State now faces an anxious wait to see if the 37-year-old will be good to go when the Warriors make the short trip to face the Miami Heat<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Curry uncertain to play against Miami<\/p>\n

Curry revealed after Tuesday’s loss that he tweaked his right ankle<\/a>\u00a0for the second time in three games. He told ESPN’s Anthony Slater that the initial tweak occurred during the Warriors’ 109-108 win over the Spurs on Friday, and the soreness reoccurred during the first half of the Magic game.<\/p>\n

“We’re just looking at how (the ankle) responds,” Curry said. “I don’t think it’s anything crazy, but we’ll see how it responds with the flight and how I feel tomorrow.”<\/p>\n

In his 17th NBA season, Curry is averaging 27.9 points per game. He leads the NBA in 3-point attempts and in 3-pointers made per game. He continues to have a significant impact on the Warriors’ fortunes; Golden State has lost two of the three games that Curry has missed this season.<\/p>\n

The Warriors will play the Heat (8-6) at Kaseya Center on Wednesday night, with tip-off slated for 7:30 p.m. ET.<\/p>\n
