Former Colorado Buffaloes quarterback Shedeur Sanders had roughly $200,000 worth of property stolen during a break-in at his home Sunday evening, according to reports.\u00a0<\/p>\n

This came as the Cleveland Browns’ rookie was making his NFL debut in place of the injuried Dillon Gabriel.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Medina County Sheriff\u2019s Office reported that three masked suspects entered Sanders\u2019 residence around 6:46 p.m. ET, according to ESPN<\/a>. The trio were seen on surveillance footage moving through multiple areas of the home before leaving about 12 minutes later with stolen items. The investigation remains ongoing.<\/p>\n

Sanders, a fifth-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, signed a four-year, $4.6 million contract eariler this year. The deal included a signing bonus of $446k.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Sanders completed 4-of-16 passes for 47 yards with an interception and was sacked twice. Browns coach Kevin Stefanski said Sanders will start Sunday at Las Vegas if Gabriel remains in the concussion protocol.<\/p>\n

The incident adds to a rising number of burglaries targeting high-profile athletes, including Luka Doncic, Joe Burrow, Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce. Sanders, a former Colorado star and Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award winner, entered the league after breaking more than 100 school records in two seasons.\u00a0<\/p>\n
