This year is the fifth time hoisting the CFL trophy.<\/p>\n<p>\t<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/indicator-big.gif\" alt=\"\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Hundreds of fans arrived for a short celebration, with many of the players leading cheers with the crowd.<\/p>\n<p>Quarterback Trevor Harris was named the championship game\u2019s Most Outstanding Player. He thanked fans for their dedication and support of the team, saying the Grey Cup belonged to everyone.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo anybody who wants to say we\u2019ve only got five, well guess what? How many did they get this year?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Green and white fans partied across the prairies when the Roughriders won on Sunday night.<\/p>\n<p>On <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cjme.com\/2025\/11\/16\/riders-announce-grey-cup-celebrations-in-regina\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Tuesday, the championship parade will take place at 2 p.m.<\/a>, with celebrations continuing at the Legislative Building at 3 p.m<\/p>\n<p>The race back to Saskatchewan<\/p>\n<p>The team weren\u2019t the only people to rush back to Saskatchewan from Princess Auto Stadium in Winnipeg.<\/p>\n<p>Three generations of Rider fans from the Ginther family came back to watch the team hoist the Grey Cup at Mosaic on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m so emotional, this is so happy,\u201d Corey Ginther said. \u201cIt\u2019s something we\u2019ve hoped and dreamed of for so long, and to be able to do it again just makes my heart so happy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The three dress in wild green wigs, plastic moustaches, flags, and jerseys for almost all the Rider games they attend.<\/p>\n<p>Bill, Corey\u2019s father, said they all live in Lethbridge, AB now, but are still willing to make the long drive to attend the games.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOnce you\u2019re a Rider, you\u2019re always a Rider \u2014 even if you leave Saskatchewan,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Corey\u2019s son Carson said it was special to watch the Roughriders win with his family.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve been a fan of this team since I can remember \u2026 to see it happen in person, it\u2019s just insane,\u201d he said. \u201cI can\u2019t believe it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u2014<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The Riders had previously won the championship in 1966, 1989, 2007 and 2013.
