That’s very interesting for the Canadiens, especially since we know (from reliable sources) that Kent Hughes is interested in Kyrou – and that Kyrou himself is interested in Montreal.<\/p>\n
In any case, we already know that Kyrou does indeed want to play for the Canadiens.<\/p>\n
Jordan Kyrou, 27 years old, is a 6-foot-1, 196-pound winger who was a second-round pick (35th overall) by the St. Louis Blues in 2016.<\/p>\n
He has recorded 332 points in 416 career NHL games, including 150 goals, and he posted 70 points in 82 games this past season with the Blues.<\/p>\n
Kyrou earns $8.125 million per year through 2031 – a solid contract.<\/p>\n
Personally, I’d obviously prefer if Kyrou were a center, but I don’t see how acquiring such a talented player could ever be bad news for a team like the Canadiens.<\/p>\n
